The biggest derby of Spanish football, in which Barcelona face Real Madrid, will be shown not only on TV, but also in cinemas all around the country.

“Until now nobody has seen football like this, on a super-giant screen with special cinematic audio,” Jaume Roures, Chairman of Mediapro broadcasting company, said.

The match – know as El Clásico in Spain – is scheduled for Sunday, November 29.

The tickets for the show will be sold at the price of a regular cinema entrance fee.

The battle between the teams which enjoy overwhelming fan support in the country dates back to 1929, when they played their first La Liga encounter.

In all, the Catalonians have won 68 league games against their archrivals, while Real have triumphed 60 times. Thirty matches have ended in a draw.

Last year Barca were victorious in both of their face-to-face clashes, as a 2-0 win at home Camp Nou arena was followed by a 6-2 away humiliation for the Galacticos.

At the moment Barcelona tops the La Liga standings, with 26 points after 10 games, but Real are just a point behind.
