The last man in Dynamo’s starting line-up, Zvjezdan Misimovic, has scored one of the goals in the Muscovites’ 2-0 away win at FC Tom as the Blue-and-Whites regained the third spot in the Russian Premier League.
FC Tom 0-2 Dynamo Moscow
Dynamo Moscow's first win in three games has seen them rise to third place in the table ahead of city rivals Spartak and Lokomotiv.
The visitors essentially wrapped up victory within the opening half in Siberia with a pair of former Bundesliga stars making the difference.
First, Zvjezdan Misimovic took full advantage of the opportunity to prove his class after Dynamo’s leader Andrey Voronin got injured.
The Bosnian, who lacked practice with the Moscow club, got things going with a sublime free-kick 28 minutes in.
“I want to believe that a new stage in Dynamo has started for me,” Misimovic told “I’ll have at least three games in the starting 11. Let's see how the team plays."
“In any event, I wish Voronin a speedy recovery,” the 29-year-old added.
Next, Kevin Kuranyi cooly found the space to send the ball to the back of the net six minutes from the break and set the final score at 2-0.
Krylia Sovietov Samara 2-1 Terek Grozny
Krylia Sovietov move further away from the relegation zone after being a goal too good for FC Terek in Samara.
The hosts took the lead through Anton Bober with half an hour gone on the clock. The direct running of Mauricio, though, resulted in the game being tied at 1-1 after 36 minutes.
But the second half belonged to Krylia, with Pavel Yakovlev being the man regaining the lead for his team eight minutes after half time, 2-1.
