Argentina outplayed Russia in their friendly international match being played in Moscow on Wednesday.

The score at half-time saw the sides locked at 1-1. It was Guus Hiddink's side that struck first at 17 minutes in.

Igor Semshov drilled in a powerful shot from the right side of the area to give Russia a 1-0 lead.

But Diego Maradona’s Argentina responded in the final minute of the first half, when a poor clearance fell to Sergio Aguero, whose finish was too good for keeper Igor Akinfeev to make it 1-1 at the break.

Early in the second, Argentina struck first with a brace through Lisandro Lopez and Datolo.

Pavlyuchenko free-kick hammering was the only goal Russia could respond with. 2-3 – the way it ended in Moscow.
