Last year’s UEFA Champions League finalists, Barcelona and Manchester United, will travel to Russia in this year’s tournament to face, respectively, Rubin Kazan and CSKA Moscow.
The Champions League 2009/10 draw was held on Thursday, with both Russian representatives facing very tough opposition in the group stage.
Tournament rookies Rubin Kazan were in Pot No.4 ahead of the draw and they found themselves in Group F together with last year’s Champions League jubilates Barcelona, Italian Serie A champs Inter Milan and Ukrainian power house Dinamo Kiev.

Matchday 1 will take place on 15/16 September, with fixtures continuing on 29/30 September, 20/21 October, 3/4 November, 24/25 November and 8/9 December.
The top two sides from each group will progress to the first knockout round of the Champions League, while those finishing third will enter the UEFA Europa League Round of 32.
