Hiddink thinks about quitting coaching career?

Team Russia coach Guus Hiddink says he won’t make a decision about his future before the end of January, and claims he may not even want to carry on coaching.

Russia failed to qualify for next summer’s world cup, and there's speculation Argentina will ask him to help their national coach Diego Maradona in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s “Next” reports the Dutchman may find himself at the helm of the Nigerian national squad next summer. Despite the fact the Super Eagles have made it to the World Cup in South Africa, local media keeps on calling for the scalp of their current manager Shaibu Amodu away, with Hiddink being the best substitution for him.

However, in an interview with Dutch media, Hiddink hinted he may quit management altogether.

“The knock-out from the World Cup has affected me. At a moment like this I wonder if I want to carry on coaching," he said.

Hiddink's contract with Russia runs out at the end of the World Cup. However, the Russian Football Union is hopeful he will sign another long-term deal.
