Wednesday’s Champions League action saw Dynamo Moscow go out of the competition after losing in the third qualification round to Celtic.
Dynamo managed to squander a 1-0 advantage after their first leg game in Glasgow.
Scott McDonald opened the scoring for the visitors with a minute left in the first half. The Australian international allowed a free header at the far post.
The ending of the second half was even more depressing for the Moscow side. The game looked to be heading towards extra time when a long punt forward by Celtic found Georgios Samaras, who skipped his way past a couple of defenders before hammering home the final nail in the coffin.
This was the cruelest of blows for Dynamo as their Champions League dream is over for this year.
