Manchester United have retained their position as the world's richest football club, joining nine other Premier League teams in the top 25, Forbes reports.
The Red Devils are considered to be worth €1.42 billion by Forbes, well ahead of Real Madrid, worth around a billion.
Curiously enough Arsenal are ranked third, while Barcelona are only seventh, despite their overall wealth increasing by 22 per cent from last year's summary.
All in all, there are only two Spanish clubs on the list, as well as four Italian sides, five teams from the Bundesliga, two French sides and the Scottish Old Firm on the bottom.
Comparing the current ranking with that of the previous year one may notice that the crisis didn’t affect much Europe’s football elite.
