What was fast beginning to overshadow both countries’ World Cup 2018 campaigns now looks to have been defused.
That was brilliantly done by Russian and British sports officials. It was quite refreshing to watch how dignity won over derogatoriness. A perfect example of mutual respect and willingness to be freed from stereotypes.
