CSKA Moscow needs to score against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday to keep alive their hopes of reaching the Last 8.
The Muscovites enter the second leg of their last 16 Champions League tie with Sevilla as slight underdogs following a one-all draw in Moscow.
Nonetheless, the Armymen are still full of confidence. They will be looking for a goal, and need to find Sevilla's net at least twice to make it to the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
“We are two teams that don't have opportunities like this one very often. So no doubt both CSKA and Sevilla will put all of their effort into winning this game and go as far as they can in this competition,” Leonid Slutsky, CSKA coach, said.
Leonid Slutsky's attack will rely on Mark Gonzalez, who scored CSKA's only goal in the first leg.
The Chilean is no stranger to playing against Sevilla, having had a spell with their great rival Real Betis.
“Personally I feel very much motivated, because I scored in the first leg game in Moscow, against a team I know very well. But above all we've come here to achieve something big – to pass to quarter finals stage. And that is what we will try to do on Tuesday night,” Mark Gonzalez said.
However, CSKA must not let the grandeur of the event get to them if they are intent on making the quarter-finals.
