The Chelsea team might want to remember that times aren't the same as they were 2 or 3 years ago. Performance related pay is long overdue in the EPL. Players like Terry (sure to be at the heart of any discontent), who is well past his prime, and makes more noise than anything else, feasted on the golden goose when times were good, and now complain when the owner is seeking to make sure the club is run in a fiscally responsible manner. Roman Abramovich is doing the right thing, and it'll be even more incentive for the young up and coming players to prove their worth, as the older long timers disappear now they have to work a bit harder for their pay. Terry, Cole and Lampard are on obscene salaries, and it's fair to the rest of of the team that they justify those salaries. Well done Roman.

They're all horribly Overpaid 'Princesses' and should be looking for second jobs. Roman, on the other hand, should have surgery to separate him from his ego and most of his money.

This for sure is the right way to go, bonuses should be payable on the success and winning trophies. You cannot expect a bonus if you win nothing and besdies they are so overpaid they dont even need a bonus. There is a massive Global Depression currently on the go for those dont know. Millions have lost their livelyhoods and are now living in poverty and that is besides the billions that were there before the depression, be grateful for what you got.
