South Africa are in danger of becoming the first host nation to be knocked out of the group stage of a World Cup.
They were thrashed by Uruguay 3-0, on Thursday. Diego Forlan got a brace there and Alvaro Pereira added the third during injury time.
Afterwards, South Africa’s coach Carlos Parreira criticized the Swiss referee Massimo Busacca.
Busacca drew the wrath of the Brazilian for issuing a red card to goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, only the second given to a keeper in World Cup Finals history, in the 76th minute.
"He is the worst referee in this competition," Parreira said. "I hope we don't see his face again in any game any more. He does not deserve to be here."
Bafana bafana, as the South Africans are known at home, face France in their final group game.

Thi is an idiotic remark by an emotional coach. Massimo Busacca is widely considered by experts to be the world's most accomplished referee. His decision to send off the goalkeeper was correct by any reasonable interpretation of FIFA's Interpretations of the Laws of the Game as they apply to "Denial of Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity". The political consequences of losing votes from the African Confederation motivated Seth Blather to appease the AFC and as a result this was Busacca's first and only match in the 2010 World Cup. That he only took the whistle in a single game was a travesty. He is clearly the world's best referee. The political aspects of referee assignments are a stain on the beautiful game. Sometimes as supporters, we will not agree with a decision. But the referee is a condition of the game which the players must overcome, just like the pitch, the weather, and the ball. Smart players know that they must play well enough to remove these possibly arbitrary conditions from affecting their performance. Politicians ruin the game when they are allowed to influence future referee assignments. Massimo Busacca's history of excellent and unsurpassed service to the game was ignored in favor of politics. This is a crime against the game.

Best referee in the world? Heres a bit of advice for Busacca, quit. Quit now. Because if you make a decision as horrific as the Van Persie one tonight and singlehandefly ruin a great tie for the neutral, you will get lynched.
From my experience in viewing football for 20 years, the more high profile the ref, the shitter they are, and prone to make the game all about themselves, than the football itself.
Busacca, do not for your own safety set foot in London.
