Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he has no intention of selling his team’s Russian playmaker, Andrey Arshavin.
"On top of [our injuries], we cannot lose players of that quality," Wenger told Arsenal.com. "It is too difficult."
Arshavin has been linked recently with a possible move to his former Zenit Saint Petersburg side or the Italian team, Lazio.
The 30-year-old is going through his poorest season with the Gunners, having scored just two goals in 25 appearances in different tournaments for the club.
Arshavin’s deal with Arsenal expires after the end of the 2012/13 season.
He joined the London side from Zenit in February 2009 for £15 million, which made him the biggest buy in the Gunner’s history.
