German customs services have returned Vitaly Klitschko the things they confiscated from the WBC heavyweight champ at Frankfurt airport last March.

The Ukrainian was deprived of his watch and a designer bag because he forgot to declare them.

According to German law, a traveler has to declare all goods that cost more than €440, but the price of the items was a lot higher.

The elder of the Klitschko brothers expressed his delight with the fact that the whole “smuggling” debacle is at last over, uaSport.net reports.

The 38–year–old said the German side formally apologized to him while he was preparing to face Chris Arreola.

The fight took place in Los Angeles on September 26, and Klitschko secured his title, beating the American by TKO.

Klitschko said his IWC watches were of great value to him as he was awarded them two years ago at the Laureus World Sports Awards. The bag was not that essential as he has plenty of others.
