A German court has officially forbidden WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck from discussing the activities of boxing Ukrainian brothers Vitaly and Wladimir Klitschko in public.
“The court's decision is absolutely justified,” Vitaly Klitschko told the KGM official website. “In the future, Huck will think before you open your mouth.”
The complaint was filed by the Klitschko brothers’ manager Bernd Boente, after Huck suggested that the scandalous incident at weigh-in, in which British boxer Dereck Chisora slapped WBC champ Vitaly Klitschko, was staged in order to attract attention to the bout.
The judges in Hamburg also ruled that if the German boxer violates the injunction, he’ll face a €250,000 fine – or up to six months behind bars.
The elder Klitschko brother won his match against Chisora on February 18, while Huck was defeated on points by Russian WBA champ Aleksandr Povetkin in his heavyweight debut a week later.
