CSKA have prolonged their winning streak in the Euroleague. Wednesday saw the Armymen thrash Anadolu Efes in Moscow, and claim their 12th straight victory in the tournament. While yet another Russian outfit, Unics, also continue to impress.

What does it take to edge out today’s CSKA Moscow? Wednesday's game showed – much more than Anadolu Efes, led by the two-time NBA champion Sasha Vujacic.

The Armymen's stats ahead of their first home game in the Euroleague's Top 16 were just flawless. Eleven wins out of eleven games in the tournament this season, and the Muscovites produced their victorious twelfth in style in front of a cheering home crowd.

In fact, it was only the first quarter which saw some tough competition on the court. But as soon as the hosts' center Nenad Krstic started dominating in the paint, both scoring and rebounding, the Armymen's lead began to grow.

The Turkish side was far from giving up that easily. They were struggling and grabbing points, while CSKA played, showing their class over and over again, increasing their lead to double digits by the intermission.

The game kept the same course in the second half. Even when the Armymen missed, they still scored in the end, making CSKA look like a team, which hardly has a weak side. The final score, 96-68, was the best proof of their might.

So the Armymen look confident on the way to the Euroleague's final four – the tournament they last won in 2008.

In the meantime, CSKA's countrymen Unics beat reigning Euroleague Champions, Panathinaikos, in Athens. That result means the Russian team top Group G after two games.

The hosts took care of the first quarter 22-17. Unics, though, improved in the second, finishing the first half just a point behind.

After the big break, the visitors started to dominate. Henry Domercant was unstoppable in the Kazan side with 23 points. The game eventually finished 89-83 in favor of the Russians.
