Published 21 Aug, 2015 07:36

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has resigned and called for an early election. On Thursday, he submitted his resignation to the president and asked for the earliest possible election date – now set for September 20. Meanwhile, turmoil in emerging currency markets escalated on Thursday. Ameera David weighs in.

Edward Harrison sits down with Patrick Chovanec – chief strategist at Silvercrest Asset Management and adjunct professor at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs – to talk about China.

After the break, Bianca Facchinei takes a look at the growing amount of Americans with massive grad school debt. Afterwards, Ameera and Erin Ade discuss data-sharing among Wall Street banks. And in The Big Deal, Ameera and Edward Harrison continue the discussion on China.
