2013/2014: A tipping point?

2013/2014: A tipping point?

Come December time, many journalists go into “Top-Ten-Events-of-the-Year” mode, or “What-a-year-it’s-been!” analyses, or some such annual recap or wrap-up.

It’s a basic psychological factor which seems to activate every time January draws nigh, symbolized for thousands of years by Janus, the double-faced god of thresholds who scans the past of the old year and looks at the coming new year.

A double-faced (re)view of 2013 and 2014...

Any “Top Ten of 2013” would be both obvious and incomplete. Obvious when choosing key events of the year: civil war in Syria, Iraq and Egypt; resignation and replacement of the pope in Rome, a meteor ramming into Chelyabinsk, Russia; the death of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela; whistle-blower Snowden’s NSA leaks, irresponsible government shutdown in Washington, and the like. Incomplete because myriads of key events would stay in the inkwell, if only because the global media chose to distort/de-emphasise them or, worse still, not to report them.

Thus with so many things happening in so many places to so many people, not only is it impossible to keep track of them all but, more importantly, our minds are overwhelmed by the ever-faster pace and ever-growing amounts of information we’re swamped with daily. Our brains cannot process this fast enough; our intellects cannot make sense out of what’s happening; what is really happening behind the media curtain.

Never in human history have we been as well-informed as today and yet the vast majority haven’t got a clue of what’s really going on in this bleak world. That’s because whilst the super high-tech Western global media supplies tons of data, they seldom if ever supply us with a “manual” to join the dots correctly.

Believe you me joining the dots correctly makes all the difference; just like the difference between having a fully disassembled BMW in your garage (without a single part, screw or cog missing) or having it fully assembled and revving to go...

Today’s “global public opinion” is a perfect example of the former: billions of “well informed citizens” aware of all the “parts, screws and cogs” of this mad, mad world. But ask any such citizen to put the damn thing together in the proper sequence, using the proper tools and then fine-tune a worldview that makes sense, that’s when you get the proverbial “Homer Simpson look” in their eyes…

If you still didn’t get it, thinking out of the box awareness is what the growing alternative press has been trying to do: RT, PressTV, Telesur, HispanTV…

Manufacturing Consent

So runs the title of Noam Chomsky’s 1988 classic derived from a concept coined by Walter Lippmann, Council on Foreign Relations co-founder and long-time editor of their journal “Foreign Affairs”.

The job of the Western mainstream media - TV, radio, Internet, newspapers, magazines, infotainment - is not to enlighten public opinion but rather to dump raw data upon us all and then force it together as best suits the Global Power Masters.

The media are the instrument that scripts that data in very specific ways to generate a specific worldview that will support specific interpretations that then lead straight to specific conclusions that result in popular support (or complacency) towards their goals and objectives.

In other words, the mainstream media are the vehicle for manufacturing consent: indeed, the media is the message...

This’s what Psychological Operations – PsyOps – are all about, which thanks to today’s huge technological advances has escalated into full-fledged Psychological Warfare – PsyWar – that does not distinguish between foreign and domestic “enemies”. From the Global Power Elites viewpoint, “We the People” everywhere are the enemy, especially independent-thinking people increasingly challenging them.

PsyOp’s ability to manufacture consent amongst “democratic majorities” has led to the worst crimes being perpetrated in broad daylight, whilst a compliant and complacent populace just looked on allowing it all to happen.

From the obscene destruction of Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001, the genocide of Palestine in the past 60 years, the purposely-triggered 2008 collapse of the US/UK/EU financial system by mega-banker thieves then fully bailed out with YOUR money, and the financing and catapulting into the upper echelons of governmental power of perverted and corrupt politicians in country after country after country; to the media PsyOps promotion of the rawest social perversions: child abuse, drug violence, prostitution, ever-escalating urban violence, shooting sprees...

It’s pretty much the same everywhere and in every country because people watch the same TV channels and read the same newspapers…

Froggy in the pan

That’s how it’s worked for over a century. It’s like the proverbial frog thrown into a pan of boiling water from which he’ll painfully jump away and thus survive; but put that same frog in a pan of lukewarm water and heat it up one degree every minute, and froggy-friend will slowly cook to death without realizing it… Today, “public opinion” consists of zillions of froggies basking in lukewarm water...

Tipping Point Now!

Here then lies one of the key events of 2013, which will hopefully escalate intensely in 2014 and beyond: that more and more people in all five continents have started to feel the heat!

They begin to realize that global media news, entertainment and infotainment ether-sphere’s job is to falsify reality. Thus, it’s matrix of dizzying green numbers must be seen for what it really is: a gigantic endeavour to manufacture consent on the part of a tiny, albeit illegitimately powerful elite bent on imposing world government on Mankind.

The rallying call to fight back has grown incessantly fast in recent times and is now coming to a head. More and more people are thinking with their own minds rather than with CNN’s, New York Times’, FoxNews’s or the BBC’s.

That’s the Event of 2013; much more than having a new pope, or some tragic natural/man-made catastrophe; or some new treaty, agreement or summit where mostly slave-politicians show their toothpaste smiles, blank looks in their eyes, and make hypocritical declarations about “peace”, “human rights” or “democracy…”

The fact that the number of independent thinking people willing to do something about the global mess we’ve been dragged into is growing is truly wonderful!

Sure, we still have a long way to go till we reach “critical mass”, which is when the inner intellectual and spiritual change in each person translates into massive outer change in society, politics, economics, work, industry, education, health, culture…

2013 has been quite a year in terms of people reaching higher levels of awareness. Maybe not all are waking up to the who, what, when, why, where and how of the Global Power Elites, nor understand what Bilderberg, Trilateral Commission and Bohemian Grove are really all about. Don’t expect everyone to wake up at the same pace.

Many millions are very lucid already and working hard to make a difference. Other millions are half-asleep (or half-awake!) which, though not ideal, is nevertheless a step in the right direction: we see this in Occupy Wall Street, Indignados, Caceroleros, Assange/Snowden fans, anti-FEMA activists, anti-puppet government protestors; each country has its own local variant…

Like any half-asleep person, they make mistakes; they’re rowdy and not well-organized. Their protests often boil over into violence with police (tragically, it´s always the poor fighting the poor…), but then again true revolution always carries birth pains with it. Who never stumbled out of bed half-asleep (awake) in the middle of the night knocking something over? So, not to worry…

I’m mad as hell!!

Almost forty years ago, actor Peter Finch in the 1976 flick “Network” played the role of disgruntled journalist “Howard Beale” who becomes an overnight TV hero when he goes on nationwide TV to unmask the already well organized social madness of his day...

His 1976 monologue fits almost perfectly into 2013/14: “I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!

We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone!!"

Sounds like this guy had a crystal ball in the cupboard, doesn’t it?

But no, there’s a simple explanation: the seeds of destruction had already been sown back then (actually they were sown even before World War Two); the elite’s long-term world government planning was going into full gear back then. Thus, today’s horrifically violent and unjust world is not the result of any “mistake” or “mismanagement” or some unforeseen factor going “terribly wrong”.

No. Today’s bleak world is the result of global planning aligned to the interests and goals of a very small, albeit illegitimately powerful, group of individuals and organizations that control all the money, wield all the power and make all the decisions that are then imposed upon us tiny working people…”democratically” or otherwise.

Make no mistake: today’s world is no “error”; it was meant and planned to be this way at least a hundred years ago…

The fight must go on in 2014

Our friend “Howard Beale” then comes up with a brilliant idea; an inspirational proposal he delivers to his TV audience, “Well, I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first, you've got to get mad! You've gotta say, "I'm a human being, goddammit!! My life has value!!!"

Great attitude! Now we’re getting somewhere…

The scene ends with common people getting their a…..s off the couch, and starting to take control over their own lives to Beale’s rallying call: “so, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

That was back in ’76. Now, as 2014 dawns, we know much better. We know that we need to start taking our countries back from the illegitimately powerful Global Elite that have taken them away from us trying to merge them into their coming world government. But we must do this intelligently.

This growing awakening translating into action is a key event of 2013 on the way to critical mass, so that we start doing something about this global mess we’ve been dragged into. Will that be the key event of 2014?

Once tipping point is reached, things start to move fast, dramatically and often unexpectedly.
