Justice is as justice does. There are plenty of intellectuals and poets and mathematicians and movie writers, but they hide behind names. If you enter the world without one, you will not be successful and will encounter too much hardship because people who are established don't like to be moved, and they will destroy you. Is that just? It's complicated. Our film is horrible because it's ultra atomized.

I think Peter Jackson proves you don't need to be an American to make a good movie. He is from New Zealand. There is a fully functioning movie industry in the US that bangs out a product on a regular basis, but that product is carefully engineered to US tastes. If you can match the marketing power and distribution capability of Hollywood I am sure the rest of the world would like to see a movie where the hero isn't American and the solution to the problem isn't even in America. We have seen Americas Star Wars and Star Trek... how about Russias vision of the future? If you do a version in English you will widen its appeal. How about a realistic big budget movie that covers the battle of Stalingrad in a way that doesn't draw this sort of response: http://www.battlefield.ru/en/hall-of-shame/206-enemy-at-the-gates.html
