Young ice hockey star dies at 19
Published 14 Oct, 2008 15:14 | Updated 14 Oct, 2008 19:14One of the brightest young talents in Russian and world Ice Hockey, Aleksey Cherepanov, has died after collapsing during a match in the Moscow region.
The 19-year-old’s body has been sent home to the Siberian city of Omsk, where hundreds of mourning fans were waiting.
