US troops as well as Afghan soldiers are planning an offensive military operation against the Taliban in the town of Marjah in Southern Afghanistan, the capital of the drug trade in Helmand province.
Being an American, I am constantly amazed by the US government announcing its offensives beforehand. What a wonderful country we are to inform the enemy we're coming so that they have time to plant explosives and get their forces out of the area. If the gov wants to prolong the war, they should stick to the current playbook.
