The European parliament has been discussing the situation in Georgia following last year's war in South Ossetia.
Aleksandr Mirsky, a Latvian member of European Parliament who witnessed the fighting, knows exactly who's side he's on.
“I would like to ask those who are defending Saakashvili’s position a question. Have you been to South Ossetia? Have you seen what the Georgian army has done to Tskhinval?
I’ve been there and I witnessed all those atrocities, and that is a crime against the South Ossetian people. I’ve been talking to many Ossetian and Abkhazian people. They don’t want to live in one state with Saakashvili,” he said.

Amazing tricks of dexterityLaws of physics are fun. Just recall a plethora of toys like yo-yos or spin pens utilising inertia. Enthusiasts and curious visitors witnessed them in action at the fourth Russian Yo-Yo Contest in Moscow. |

Saakashvili's attack on Tshkinval has destroyed whatever chance they might have been for such a possibility.
