Will Obama free Leonard Peltier?
Published: 11 May, 2009, 11:39
Leonard Peltier, one of America's longest-serving prisoners, has been locked up for over 30 years for a conviction that has drawn criticism from around the world.
There is a campaign plan to bring Leonard home by his next birthday (Sept. 12), and we are counting on millions of people world wide to help us in this goal. We'd like to find former "Leonard Peltier Support Groups" from Russia to join us in this. They can come to the official website at www.whoisleonardpeltier.info and fill out an application to become a support group. Or they can contact me at bcarnesatwhoisleonardpeltierdotinfo.
Well i hope and pray that he will be released i have written the president myself and getting him out of the abusive pen they had put him in and clemency to bad about the great storm system that struck that area not long after his abuse huh,oh well as i wrote i hope they release him the great spirits wish it for he is an elder and very respected on the other side and here.If they don't i foresee bad things happening to that area of the united states just like that great storm system that struck the penn area but far greater and far more powerful.I feel i still have faith in this man Obama lets hope it stays that way.He has the oppurtunity to make great change for this world and this would put him on the great spirits good books for as i said they wish it,his release.
Leonard should not have been convicted! He was used by the FBI to cover their own murders of the Lakota. AIM did not kill the FBI agent Isis
Injustice, free this man and let him live the remainder of his life out of jail. Heather
He should serve his two life sentences. He did what he did and should pay for it. Just another criminal now crying to get out of doing the time. LP should have thought about the consequences before he got involved. He took two lives and now he has two pay the price. Sorry no rewards for losers who felt they could do as they please in the 1970's. He is getting what he deserves and I hope he is never released. He has made our people ashamed and people think we are all like him, a criminal. God bless the families of the men that he killed.
From everything I have read over the years this is an innocent man. He was guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If the FBI agents weren't in the wrong place at the wrong time they would be alive today. Leonard should be free and I hope President Obama has the courage Bill Clinton didn't.
No person should serve one day in prison based on fabricated and manipulated evidence. Especially a man of LP's integrity and honour. In the interest of keeping my comment short I will say this: I would gladly finish his sentence. Not because I am native. I am not. Not because I am an activist of any kind. I am not. Simply because it would be right. Common sense and human compassion should prevail. If anyone knows of anything I can do to assist Mr Peltier I can be contacted at titra@shaw.ca Anyone who agrees with his conviction should re-examine the evidence and bare in mind it could be you or your father, brother, or son. I would be proud to call him any of those!!!!

By their own admission, the FBI says that Leonard did not do this. Let him go home to live out his life with family. To die in prison was not this man's choice to make. INNOCENT until proven guilty!
