Amazing how these activists always choose to forget that Iraq was doing research into nuclear weaponry in the 1980's, that the program was detected and dismantled and that Saddam was claiming to have restarted it in the lead up to the Iraqi invasion. So it was not without reason that the international community believed Iraq did have a program. Additionally, none of these 'activists' seem to have read the IAEA dossier on Iran which has been compiled over the last 20+ years, know anything about how the IAEA performs it's testing, and seem to suffer from the delusion that the IAEA and it's Director General are somehow controlled by agents hostile to Iran. But let's put it this way: Saddam claimed to have been working on a bomb when he wasn't, even though the IAEA evidence contradicted his claims. We later found out that the reason he claimed to be when he wasn't was in order to fool the country that he believed to be a bigger threat to Iraq than the US: Iran. He was that worried about the Iranian threat. Iran is claiming that it is not working on acquiring a nuclear bomb. The IAEA evidence compiled over many years indicates continuous duplicity in Iran's dealings with the agency and international community. The evidence strongly indicates that there is something in their activities that they do not want examined too closely. Iran's biggest threat is the international community putting a stop to illicit nuclear activities. In other words, Saddam lied to cover the fact that he didn't have anything, while Iran is lying in order to cover the fact that it is up to something.

I should add that whipping up anti-western hatred, and inciting anti-western, pro-Iran feelings amongst western fringe-groups IS an attack on the west by Iran. So is threatening citizens of western countries, and inciting radicals living within them to murder people over such things as caricatures in newspapers.

It does look suspicious, but I read on another forum that the ordinance that could penetrate Iran bunkers needed to be more like the 30,000 - level bombs, and it did not sound like those were on the bill of lading for Diego Garcia. The base is supposedly a supply site for the Afghanistan war, also. Perhaps there are plans for targeting caves along the Afghan / Pakistan border? Regardless, it bears watching, just to see where those bombs are headed.

Maybe the USA have finally had enough of Israel thretening to attack Iran and are planning on taking out Israels actual (not make believe like Irans) illegal nuclear weapons facilities. Maybe not, perhaps only in my dreams.

In a way I hope the US does attack Iran, because the result will be very bad for the US and they will have no one to blame but themselves... though I am sure that wont stop them blaming everyone else. BTW Bbach, if the IAEA had any evidence at all why dont they simply present it. Why isn't Iran and Pakistan and India bombed for developing nuclear weapons? If Iran can't have nukes then I guess that means none of the arab countries in the ME can have nukes either... so what does Israel need nukes for?
