U.S. strike against Iran not ruled out?

Top U.S. officials are planning a possible military strike against Iran over its nuclear intentions, according to the American Fox News Channel, which says the action is being considered among a number of other options.
The channel quotes sources close to the Presidential Administration, who say talks are taking place because of Germany’s recent decision to oppose any further UN sanctions against Iran.
The source says this is the latest in a string of incidents that show U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's diplomatic approach is no longer working.
The U.S. and other Western powers want Iran to close down any nuclear facilities it has and to stop uranium enrichment.
Although Iran insists its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes only, other countries believe it could be a decoy for building an atomic bomb.
