A British woman who angered her fellow countrymen by throwing a cat into a trash bin has been found guilty and fined for animal cruelty.

45-year-old Mary Bale was also forbidden to keep animals for the next five years.

The woman caused a public outrage after CCTV footage of her picking up a cat and dumping it into the bin appeared on the Internet.

At the court, Bale could not explain her actions, saying her move was “impulsive”. Her lawyer said she has been under “tremendous strain” – her father died last week and he was seriously ill at the time of the incident, Reuters reports.

Mary Bale said she regrets the incident and wants to apologize for it.

I am astonished that the average UK citizen has no idea about animal cruelty. Apparently they find putting a cat in a bin outrageous. What about the thousands of animals that are ritually slaughtered without being stunned on a daily basis in the name of religion, which for some reason, is exempt from the laws of this country passed in the 1950's to ensure that no animal undergo unnecessary suffering during slaughter? The UK media seem to completely ignore this as it might shock some of its brainwashed victims into thought. Maybe if people saw CCTV of this barbaric, prehistoric sadism on their televisions every day they would get a perspective and boycott halal and kosher meat.
