A real battle of wits has occurred at a philosophy conference in the House of Scientists in central Moscow, leaving two people wounded.
This brawl suggests to me that in Russian thinkers still believe in Philosophy, that they still have strong values they willing to defend them; in this case, with little heated debate.
I love this article. It brings to mind Douglas Adams' description of the Philosopher's Union - “We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!”
