Staff in the city’s greenhouses say its the first time banana trees have actually produced crops in this part of the world.

This is Great example of Russian ingenuity and enterprising spirit! Russia should help the poor of this world by sharing its amazing knowledge with those who lack the technology to set up hothouses but also because majority of the poor of this world live under the burning sun year long. Whereas Russians under the Soviet Union were committed to global human development and progress today’s Russians feel less moral responsibility to the poor and weak of this world. This attitude must change. We live in a global village and the world is becoming interdependent and we need to fight disasters over there before they come here [ By this, I do not means the stupid mantra of fighting terrorists over there before they come here view of the U.S imperialism and endless military aggression that brings more destruction and less security]. What I do mean is that we need to fight, poverty, environmental destruction, deforestation and humanitarian crisis before these disasters reach the developed parts of the world.
