This is tragic news. My deep condolence to the families of the death and I wish speedy recovery for the wounded. In the face of all the bad things which have been said about the Russian police as of late, we can see there are good police officers willing to help people.

This is tragic news. My deep condolence to the families of the death and I wish speedy recovery for the wounded. But as we all know the Chechen terrorists have said that they are planing to attack Russian infrastructure, and the Railways chief said that there is a crater beneath the rail, so it would be good idea to call FSB to investigate deeper in this case.

Sarah, who the hell should care now what has been said about the Russian police?? All kind of garbage is regularly spewn in some media (re Russia) and here you contribute in your small way. You try to deflect the attention from the most pressing issue and it is neither the image of Russian police nor your phony condolences to the families of "the death" (sic!), but WHO is behind this monstrosity. "Sarah", your cynical and pathetic comment is worthy of the attention of the investigators of this crime. May God save the souls of all that perished in this tragedy.

I can only agree 100% with what Sarah has written. If this turns out to be a terror attack, then I wish to further add that such attacks always, always hit the innocent, and therefore are as much a testament to futility as they are to the cowardice of their perpetrators.

Sarah, Absolutely agree with you, this is a tragedy for the people involved, who were just going about their daily civil business when tragedy struck and induced a trail of grief for their families. To add the Police comment - the vast majority of the Police are not attacking people, and it is good we remeber it. It is possible to go away with an idea that it is widespread, when it is not. The discussion was, how to cope when it happens. The Police here in this case as most of them do in other cases, showed great courage and humanity to help their fellow citizens. But returning to the topic, it is early days yet in the investigation, but if it is terrorism, then it is most likely to be once again the work of western terrorists, working through their local actors. Any way let's wait the facts.

Dying horse kicks around the most. Dying US empire is to blame for renewed Chechen terrorism which is currently supported by secret services of UK and USA to create problems for Russia similar to recent problems with Ujghurs in China, bombings in Pakistan and Jundallah in Iran. Sabotage activities will only increase before they stop when dying US empire will run out of breath. Russia should address this problem more assertively when dealing with US UK and Izrael. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/China/JD18Ad01.html http://www.eastwestcenter.org/fileadmin/stored/pdfs/PS011.pdf http://intelligencenews.wordpress.com/2009/09/26/02-164/1154.html http://www.rense.com/general57/rusbnlt.htm http://news.antiwar.com/2009/08/25/top-jundallah-figure-says-us-ordered-attacks/

If indeed this tragic event is being caused by terroristic act, then Russia must hunt down those responsible and brought them to justice. In addition, Russia must seek to find out if there are foreign entities which provide financial and ideological support to these vicious terrorists. Also, Muslim nations must come out and emphatically denounce terrorism against both of the West and against Russia.. The Muslim world has not openly denounced radical Islamic terrorism against Russia. Russia must under take a massive PR program directed at the entire Muslim world. Terrorism against Russia must end. Russia's embassies and cultural centers must undertake a massive PR offensive debunking all the lies against Russia. Russia is in the frontline in the war against terror and the world must know this. Peace and solidarity with the Russian people.

I remember the authorities in Russia being condemned over the Theatre Massacre and Beslan School Massacre to the extent that one almost forgot who actually caused those deaths. The respectable, decent people in this world are united against terrorism. I pity those killed and their families and I hope the injured recover from their injuries although it's unlikely they all will. I'm reading a book now in the form of a letter to Osama Bin Laden from a woman about the terrorist bomb which created a 'boy sized gap in the world' and what an awful thing that is. Twisted fate created by twisted terrorism. Bless the victims in Russia and bless also those poor women slaughtered by Islamists in the Philippines this week too.

Sarah, You make me sick with your cynical comment. This is neither the time nor the place for it. You sound like that Swedish European politician after the Beslan school terrorist attack where nearly 200 children died.
