Ukraine election results falsified – Timoshenko

Ukraine’s presidential candidate Yulia Timoshenko will not recognize the victory of her rival Viktor Yanukovich. In a televised address on Saturday she said she would challenge the results of the election in court.
She said a great deal more then this article suggests. She said that she will not allow the country to be turned over to criminals! These are very serious words, and she is using them against the elected President. His options are not very good. First, he has to wait until the formal decision. But after that, irrespective of her legal claim, he needs to find a way to deal with her outrageous attacks against the President-Elect and his Party. He may choose to wait, and let her run around spending her energy. It is easy for her to conjure up some irregularities, or even to manufacture "videos'. I am sure the team of Georgians was there to be on site to take good photos of "irregularities". I am sure they were there for a reason. However, time is not on her side. With the default on Ukraininan debt looming, IMF will not sign anything without legitimate signatures of legitimate government. At this point, there is no legitimacy. In the end, Tymoscheno may do a favor to Ukraine. Default may be the best option.
Tymoshenko could have lost by 30% and she would still be having screaming tirades. I don't think she is very normal. Sad to see the Ukrainians even voting for such an immature and incompetent person. If Tymoshenko can, she will turn this election also into a comical farce, as she did the last election.
It's interesting that Timoshenko is only demanding recounts in eastern Ukraine regions that voted for Yanukovych, and strangely, is not demanding recounts in regions that voted for her! She's turning a momentous event in her country's history into a farce. It's totally ridiculous, Yanukovych was 10% ahead the first round, opinion polls had him leading for months, exit polls pointed to Yanukovych win, and now the electoral commission, and larger international community has recognized Yanukovych's victory. This did not happen the last time around! She risks damaging her own political career by taking this further while her country is in turmoil. In other words, this is all about "Princess Yulia" being president, and "Princess Yulia" being president is more important than the fate of her collapsing country, and I'm sure the people of Ukraine can see this, and this certainly would be a factor in them deciding to "take to the streets",. The problem with the media coverage, is it seems to imply that Yanukovych supporters will just stand there and let their victory be stolen: they won't, in fact, and mass demonstration on the streets will most likely be by them. Anyway, the orange revolution was the west, Yuschenko and Timoschenko, whereas now, it's just Timoshenko on her own. She has no credibility, she called fraud on the election before it even took place!!! It was always obvious she was going to play these sort of games, and in fact, she is just playing into the hands of Yanukovych, and even Yuschenko, as she will no doubt lose public support over what can only be described as the actions of a spoiled child. Congratulations, Виктор Фёдорович, and may all the Viktors in Ukraine have the choice whether to call themselves Виктор or Віктор!!!
It will be interesting if Tymoschenko can bring OSCE observers around to her side of the argument. But didn't OSCE issue a report already on this election? If they already said the election was valid, she will have an uphill fight in court. Maybe she already realizes the scant evidence and is planning a lengthy court case instead of bringing her supporters out on the street. Why not spare her supporters from a riot that will probably fail to be another Orange Revolution. Those days are over. She can still keep herself in the news and be ready to swoop back into power with "I told you so!", when Ukraine finally collapses under its financial troubles. And this way she can shift the blame over to somebody else. Good luck to you all in Ukraine.
Timoshenko is an imperialists' puppet. Those peoples need troubles to show their nuisance's power. As long as no credible leader will have the courage to face the true reality and tell the World about it, nothing will change. It will get worse before it gets better. Let us wait a decade to see who is right ! Sorry Future Generations...Best Regards. Jean-Claude Meslin
World leaders have been too hasty in declaring the election substantially fair without hearing all the facts about fraud. If gross fraud can be proven, world leaders will be left with egg on their face. There is a trend of world politicians to do anything just to appear politically correct. It is not in the world.s best interest for world leaders to put their stamp of approval an election prematurely, when it may be proven that the election results were invalid because of substantial fraud. Give Ukraine a fighting chance. Let the facts speak for themselves after all is heard in court.
It is not good for Ukraine or Russia if this election is stolen through fraud. Timoshenko should not give up the position under the cloud of election corruption by her opposition. An illegal president in Ukrain could bring disaster and even break up the country. Don't rush to judgement. Let all falsifications/fraud in this election be brought to light before it is too late. Ukraine deserves someone who is legally representing the people, Otherwise they may as well go back to the old days when they were enslaved to the Soviet Union.
Fraud: "Ukraine deserves someone who is legally representing the people, Otherwise they may as well go back to the old days when they were enslaved to the Soviet Union." The fraud in the Ukrainian election is Yulia Tymoshenko. The Ukrainian people should be ashamed of ever electing Yulia Tymoshenko into the Parliament. She has turned the Ukrainian election process, and the parliament, into a circus with her childish attention-getting stunts. She is the Ukrainian version of Italy's Cicciolina. If Yulia and her cronies are permitted to throw the current fair election into chaos with their unsubstantiated claims of "fraud", the Ukrainian people will have shown the world that they are not mature enough to conduct democratic elections, and perhaps it would be better that Russia ruled Ukraine again. What a joke of a country. They steal Russian gas shipments to the EU and they steal elections as Yulia is trying to do again. Ukraine has become the laughing stock of Europe.
It is surprising that the day after the second round election, the observers present in Ukraine, RT and most media said that the election was fair. Then suddenly Mrs Timoshenko said: fraud. If she is right, then new election will take place; but if she is wrong, she should be sent to court, charged and jailed for treason...Ukraine deserve better than that ridiculous show, manipulated form outside in that endless geopolitical insanity...Sorry Future Generations ! The official result of the elections has every appearance of legitimacy. It is backed up by exit polls, and the OSCE has declared that the elections lacked significant fraud. Timoshenko will not gain international support for trying to reverse a democratic decision; domestic opposition to the result is likely to be relatively impotent given that voters had largely adopted a cynical attitude towards all candidates.
