How ironic that Russia is having heroin problems? It must be payback from the forces of the universe. It seems that Afghanistan is having the last laugh. As for us Americans we have been big time drug users for a long time. Name it and Americans take it whether it is legal or illegal.

I dont really understand whats the problem: Its easiest to be not addicted to anything. Once you start with one thing, another will come easier. The younger, the more probable one will become an addict. Any kind of addiction makes people become prisoners as they basically lose their will, as it controls them. Stopping an addiction is incredibly hard. Best is prevention. You need to let people see where it will lead them - such as´controversial´how they will end. It is easy to start with when you dont know how it will end. When eyes dont see, the heart doesnt hurt. It should hurt before too late.

Why is it that the Taliban managed to stop the production of heroin almost completely - but as soon as the US and the British went in there it started up again and is said to be huge now, and much bigger than it ever has been. It was all started with the opium wars and the drugs were distributed by the Sassoon family - mostly from Indian and HongKong. People say that it is still the biggest British money maker and Us money maker too - much, much bigger than oil. Look up information on the Sassoon family.

I strongly have this feeling that the drug menace is the result of un-resolved problems in the persons mind; ....Modern life ,let's face it IS quite tricky and complicated and highly politicised and treacherous and complex and does not 'easily come in the 'grip' of most 'simple minded peoples' .Besides unfortunately the GOVERNMENTS of the countries are 'sly perpetrators' of most of the evils existing; THE NEXUS.. All these things the 'simple minded ' simply cannot decipher..They rather blame themselves.. for their plight..!! The person ..by nature ..cannot possibly ..live with so many "un-resolved" problems on his mind..The mental Agony..the mind simply does not SHUT ..it goes in 'over-drive' .. and ..the man is thrown overboard.. It's really really SAD to say the least...from raaj joshi

@Milagros Llauger If you knew real history you would know that Mr Brezinski and Mr Gates both in the Obama administration created and trained Islamic militants 6 months prior to the Soviets invading Afghanistan to lure them into a trap. A policy of supporting Islamic militants as a proxy force to fight there covert wars which expanded from Afghanistan in 1990. Heroin trade is controlled by Islamist groups operating in Russia.
