As the H1N1 or “swine flu” virus spreads across the globe, it seems as if many people living in Russia are taking extreme measures to protect themselves.

The swine flu is overblown, I agree. I also thin it funny that people waer the typical n95 masks as they are intended to prevent the wearer from spreading germ - NOT from getting germs. The masks are useless if you are trying to prevent catching the flu. But they make for dramatic press coverage, yes? All in all I think that we humans will find many ways to kill ourselves off before a pandemic does... Yaaa for human stupidity!!!

The whole swine flu thing has been blown out of proportion. I have had it and I know around 20 others who have had it and every one of them says that it was mild as far as the flu goes. Eat healthy and try to avoid contact with those who are sick. Wash you hands several times a day and if you get sick just take some time off and drink a lot of water, at least 5 or 6 glasses per day. These are things that you should be doing anyway.
