Children begging for money have long been a common sight in Romanian cities. Although their numbers have dropped in recent years, there are still hundreds of street children in Bucharest alone.
My brother is Ian Tilling and I am so proud of the work his has and still is doing in Romania. A few years ago I went to visit with my brother and his wife Cristina in Romania and just could not get over the povety I saw there. I went to Casa Iona orphanage while I was there and saw the beautiful children in the home. As soon as I walked into the room all the kids came running to me and were trying to hug me. I shall never forget that. Romania is a beautiful county I just wish more could be done for the people who live there.

Street people and hunger is a reality in today's world and is all too common in Europe and other countries. Rich countries don't like to admit it or bring attention to it but it is everywhere although not on such a huge scale as North Africa or Romania for example. You see vastly wealthy people totally ignoring poor beggars as if they are an inanimate object. If someone is hungry and asks you for food the human thing to do is to take them and buy food for them. In this uncertain world the roles can be reversed and you could be the street person without food or money.
