As Kiev prepares to host the European Football Championship in 2012, animal rights groups claim attempts to beautify the country are coming at the expense of homeless animals.

Alright, so now economic crisis is an excuse for everything. Even for being being cruel to animals. Actualy not being cruel to animals costs no money at all. If I can't afford to solve the stray animal problem humanely for upcoming visitors to feel more at ease, I would just leave it as it is, rather than causing suffering and staining my countries image worldwide.
Actualy it doesn't take much to help stray animals live better. Just think!
