Spain under Francisco Franco was a nazi-like fascist state. It's police was no different than the nazi gestapo. It's sordid past really has not come to light and no one from that regime was ever held accountable. As a result the arrogance and occasional brutality of it's police force remains to this day and what happened to the three Russian yachtmen is just another example of this.

Spain should be ashamed of such police forces. They are not much different from common criminals. Personally, I believe that we should avoid travelling to countries were rights of the Russians are violated. As for me, I am going to boycott this destination. Let's see them surviving with their tourism sector down. Maybe this will make them treat foreigners better.

this is just a tip of the iceberg, Russia is seen as a weak state by the whole west, they are the punching bag and punching line of most jokes, and yet, Russia hopes to win over the minds and hearts of the west!?! .. only Stalin's illusions of grand proportions are on the same level as Medvedev's and Putin's about western integration.. the west does not want integration, but your resources, Russia is too big to be like Finland, a successful country, if Russia would be successful it would lead the whole world, therefore Russia must be subdued one way or the other, and still, Russians think it is because of their economy that this is happening, they are weak now, but if they are strong then respect, no no.. there is no respect when you are targeted for elimination-- Russia's economy cannot get better for it plays the international rules which are made to suit those who made the rules-WEST-- in this game to win is impossible, to try to win in football when the judge has already decided that you have lost is insanity, .. change how economy functions, be a leader in a different economy, a revolution of the view how we see the financial world and our world.. we must change the monetary system all together.. forget about ruble, dollar, yen etc.. drop the money all together, and give your nation freedom to do what they want, consumerism is not the way to go, everybody knows this and yet everybody strives to have their population as slaves to consumerism and 10 hour shifts!! wake up Russia, you have no time left!
