Siberians have smashing time with computer games

Published 14 Dec, 2008 16:23 | Updated 14 Dec, 2008 19:23

Have you ever dreamt of smashing your PC? It might seem like an act of vandalism or a protest by fed-up office workers. However, it’s not. The first Championship for Computer Monitor Throwing has taken place in the Siberian city of Irkutsk.

Its goal is to make the process of disposal of broken devices amusing. One of the competitors managed to throw his “apparatus” a distance of ten metres – setting an all-time record.

The strange event also included making towers out of old computers and running relays while carrying the machines.

All remaining undamaged equipment was destroyed by mass.
