Seven militants eliminated in Russia’s South

On Wednesday evening a major militant cell was detected in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria. Seven militants are reported killed by the police officers.

The police press-service reports no victims among the policemen.

A number of weapons including automatic guns, homemade bombs, grenades, ammunition and some other some outfits and foodstuffs were found at the shootout scene.

According to Interfax, referring to a source in the law enforcement bodies of Kabardino-Balkaria, there were criminals involved in the murders of nine hunters in the region in November 2007 among the militants eliminated.
