The USA will never let it happen. The word European scares them as it will eventually cause them to lose further influence over the europeans

It is amazing. The Russian leadership is bombarding the Europeans and the American with ideas for a safer and more peaceful world. They definitely have the initiative and running the peace show. What is the West doing? Continuing subterfuge, vacillation, outdated and corroded enmity. Russia has conquered the spirit of the coming age. The West insists on being mired in obsolete and totally discredited confrontational global structure. Guess who is going to win. It must and it will. There is no alternative to peace. You're on notice, Obama.

Mr Medvedev' ideas are excellent and full of good intentions. Unfortunatly, you naïve russians forget a few details: 1) In 1970, I rode in the Seattle-Time this statement coming from an eminent US journalist: Europe will be americanized or will never be. When you look at E-U's divisions plus de nomber of states who are US prostitues; that make you wonder: Is Mr Medvedev confusing wishfull thinkings and realistic politics. 2) America's geo-politic is (as president Eisenhower feared) governed by the Military-Industrial-Complex, Wall-Street's bankers and very rich oligaks who are not necessarely american (Mondialisation made in USA). 3) The mafia described in praragraph 2, does not give a dam about most US, russian, chinese or europeen citizen, all she want is the complete control of Earth' ressources and the worldwide adoption of our "supposed to be" wonderfull western way of life, which is according to my humble opinion: nothing else than money unslavery for most humans. Everywhere, America has set foot on; peoples have been set to dream about rains of easy dollars falling on them. Unfortunatly, just a few "putains-collabos" are rewarded, according to their economic and politic treason's talents. This tactic almost succeeded in Russia when Mr Gobatchev and Mr Yelsin were governing. Just say: thank you to Mr Putin. Then, quickly add: Watch out, because the game is not over yet ! Capitalist have many tricks on their sleeves to corrupt anyone. I have noticed that, on my last trip to Moscow (September 2009). That is why, considering the knowledge accumulated in my long geo-politic observation, I keep on suggesting to russian leaders: Make your country the best possible example without worring about what other do. The 95% of humans who are not americans plus the many disgusted US citizen are not blind and will not sleep for ever; they will wake up and open their eyes. There is Hope ! Think Positive ! Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin

Independent European Union European Union started in the 1990's to develop its own security policy. The year 2002 is important. EU and NATO accepted a Berlin Plus convention according to which NATO is not a EU defence body. NATO has no right and no obligation to defend EU, and EU has no right to oblige NATO to defend EU. Furthermore, NATO has the outright right to refuse participating in any EU military operation. The EU Lissabon treaty, ratified in 2009, is important too. It strenghtens EU's own defence structure and EU's will and vision to have an independent from USA and NATO less dependent defence policy and structure. Still, because major part of EU member states belong to NATO, USA and NATO and some NATO EU-member states play hard in order to have NATO as a part or even unit in the EU defence structure. The situation is a bit contradictory, because every EU state works for an independent European Union but anyhow there are states which want a strong US and NATO influence in EU.The divison goes not between states but inside the states. For example in my own country Finland, the conservative party fights for a strong US and NATO role in EU security policy, and the rest of the parties are not yet very European but concentrated on traditional national foreign policy. So, what EU needs on its way to sovereignty, is European security pact presented by Russia and president Medvedev, and perhaps more active, more visible and more transparent EU policy. Russia is part of Europe and European continent, USA is not.

Russia simply wants to annex the Central and Western Europe with its technology and minds - and it seems to me they are succeeding - Europeans will wake up and it will be too late - Europe will be building the gulags all over Europe. Stick with USA the only way to stay free.
