Remains of the British frigate “Prince”, which was sunk by a heavy storm in 1854 during the Crimean War, have been discovered in the Black Sea. The vessel is rumored to have a cargo solid gold.
Does anyone know where I could obtain a crew list for the ship? Four of my Great Grand mothers were supposedly on the ship when it sank. William, George, John and Robert Perkins. Where any bodies recovered? There is no registration of the deaths of the Perkin brothers. Caimein
If you are referring to the painting, which is entitled "Wreckage of the Black Prince" the following dictionary entry finds the use permissible:
wreckage n.1. The act of wrecking or the state of being wrecked.2. Something wrecked. 3. The debris of something wrecked. The title conforms to the first definition 'The act of wrecking or the state of being wrecked'.
