I think this shows the greatness of Russia - they are getting rid of weapons that have been shown not to have any real value in warfare except making long-hating enemies for many generations with all the insecurity that goes with it. However, we need to enforce this to happen also with hugely aggressive, totally self-absorbed countries such as Israel who keep starting wars/fights and then leaving other people to have to deal with the aftermath on a global scale.

Russia should retained the Chemical weapon stock pile. Other European and USA are retaining the chemical weapon secretly. Remember during war there will be no law or guideline, only winner will apply whatever law to punish the loser after the war.

Chem and bio weapons will not be missed as they are not that reliable as effective weapons. It makes much more sense to give these up than tactical or strategic nukes.
Even with improvements and needed changes taking place within Russias military tactical nuclear weapons are still a necessity and should not be negotiated away... it will always be the only way a reduced sized Russian force could hope to face NATO or China on equal terms.
Work on bio weapons however should continue so Russia can protect itself from attack and also to find cures from some of these diseases too.
