With the world's leaders all around him at the G20 in London, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has been seen breezily chatting away on his mobile phone.
It is the first time a Russian president has ever been seen in public using a mobile.
Medvedev is known to like keeping up with the latest high-tech gadgets, and even has been seen wearing a James Bond-style watch complete with a camera, GPS navigator, radio and video player.
He's believed to be a fan of Apple, reportedly owning an iPhone and at least three MacBooks.
He is also the first Russian leader to start a video blog to address people through the Internet. Back in 2007 Medvedev surprised the audience of a live Internet-based conference by revealing his familiarity with popular memes and the mock ‘Olbanian’ language used by Russian users.
Love for gadgets and IT may be a good thing to help break the ice with another tech-lover, US President Barack Obama, who had a fierce battle with the Secret Service over his BlackBerry.
