Biologists have suggested a mathematical model, which will hopefully predict which species need to be eliminated from an unstable ecosystem, and in which order, to help it recover.

No need to be a biologist for to know than if the human's specie would be eliminated, sure, the ecosystem will be helped.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Enough Said.

How absolutely oafish. That's troglodyte management at its worst. Sounds like the more lamentable and ultimately inefficient form of HR employed by the terminaly inept. This sort of administration - applied to humans -  historically leads to stunted, distorted and monstruous, seriously dysfunctional aggregations of humans.

Does this mean HR now has a mathematical way of insuring these consditions and results? Or would some of the requisites imply in excessive humanity of some of its components?

I think it makes sense.

An eco system is a balance of multiple factors and when Human interference effects that balance then we need to take steps to minimise the effects of that interference.

Here in New Zealand before man arrived this was a land largely of birds and the arrival of man brought all sorts of animals who were the bottom of the food chain where they came from but have no natural predators here and their populations exploded.

Wiping out Possums and Rabbits in New Zealand is simply not practical... controlling their numbers however reduces the damage they do and enables some native species to continue.

I would consider it, but this would be something to think long and hard about as it's completely irreversable.

Talk about the proverbial camel's nose in the tent. From economic engineering to bioengineering, let's just cut to the chase and decide to wipe ourselves out - fer da gud o'da planet.

We brought the pigs to the Americas in the 1600s, so they are not natural to the land. I agree with Dodgeling317 though.
