The belief that drunken folk have a guardian angel of their own may have some real basis. Statistical data shows that surviving a head injury is more probable if you have ethanol in your blood.
I love this one, we know brain cooling with ice works, now bring on the alcohol. So it's a drink and pack them with ice. Put the patient on the rocks, shaken not stirred of course. Or does this explain why some husbands go home drunk to their wives, is it just survival kicking in! Hit me i'm drunk, or is it the wife kicking in. Or does it mean drink driving is safer, or at least being a drunk passenger is a good safety strategy.
