Recovery teams have found more bodies following Monday's explosion at Russia's biggest hydro-electric plant, raising the number of those confirmed dead to 69, according to the emergencies operations center.
After 20 seconds of accident all became clear http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/pashenko-ecolog/view/177810/?page=2 http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/pashenko-ecolog/view/177460?page=2 http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/pashenko-ecolog/album/75854/

Re: "a comprehensive review of Russia’s entire technical infrastructure, especially of hydro-electric facilities" - what a good idea. We could do the same here in USA. We have in the past, but maybe it is time for another review. We have a lot of old dams built in the early years of the last century, and sometimes the smaller ones don't get good maintenance. When I saw the pre-disaster pictures of the Sayano-Shushenskaya turbine room, I thought how modern it looked compared to say, Hoover Dam's turbine room. If a catastrophe can occur in a relatively newer dam like S-S, what about in a dam like Hoover, which was built in the 1930s? Yikes.
