British Special Forces are undergoing the biggest cuts since the Second World War. The Ministry of Defence will be downsizing their elite SAS unit after having its budget slashed.
One of the big questions for the UK defence review is whether to upgrade Britain's nuclear deterrent. Given that Britain is effectively in the shadow of the USA, in terms of nuclear deterrent, there seems little point in upgrading or even maintaining weapons which are never going to be used. It is probably better to spend what money is available at the sharp end, in units like the SAS who have seen regular action since WWII.
Never heard of a SAS soldier being killed in afghanistan, they only reported when they do something heroic. That keeps its English peasents happy.Regarding trident ,it is American, they dictate its usuage ,the only usefullness, it keeps people employed.
England is a Ruling class and peasent country, its peasents are not educated to any reconisablle intelligent standard,Bankers are part of the privileged ,and has its govt to protect they privileges and way of life.Nothing more, nothing less.

Great stuff, you helepd me out so much!

The armed forces as a whole are set to be substantially cut, possiblily so much so that the UK will no longer be able to project military power overseas in any significant non-nuclear way. They will certainly no longer be able to get involved in US wars again. Add to this the deep cuts being proposed to the Police services (a figure of 40000 personnel was recently reported in the UK media), the deep cuts already taking many thousands of jobs in the Civil Service, and the many thousands of jobs already gone in the private sector and it is clear to everyone that the British economy is in a real and serious mess. The British, unlike thier friends in the US (who still have blinkers on when it comes to their economy) are realistic about what needs to be done to secure the long term, not just get through the short term. However, what the British people will not tolerate is continued reinflation of the banks. We have seen the banks bailed out by the british taxpayers return to profit, and they have even started paying themselves huge bonuses again. Deep cuts to essential services, mass job losses, and massive unjustified payments to banks that have been paid for with the money now being taken from the ordinary person is a strong and potentially explosive brew. The British people will only take so much before we see 'Greek style' protests on the street, and that will be just the beginning..............
