Internet prank turns plague

Confining residents of a whole city to their homes for a day of their own will – this has become possible only due to a short post on one of the Internet blogs.
Such is the power of dissinformation - and this wasn't even a great effort yet look at the effect it had. Imagine how much more power over public oppinion / perception / actions that can be gained when Governments get involved in this sort of thing using all the resources available to them.

What about criminal cases brought against main stream media for hyping H1N1 virus that has been less lethal and less pervasive as the seasonal flu? Someone enriched the makers of vaccines and masks.
