While the Georgian people have set their minds on peace, their leadership is more concerned with war and has spent over thirty times more on its military budget than economic development.
correction: Part of the second sentence in second paragraph above should read: "...before America hoisted Misha into office..." Sorry.

Expanding the military budget, at the expense of the Georgian people, epitomizes Saakashvili's rule - that, and cuddling up to old senile US senators like McCain and Luger. Saakashvili has little to show for his six years in office as the president of Georgia. The living standards of the people have not been raised much above that which existed before before America hoisted him Misha office; and, may even be worse because of the commercial break with Russia. Of course, there have been some improvements such as in the quality of roads, building of new hotels, new police cars, and a massive presidential palace with its own phalanx symbol projecting from the roof like a blown up condom. However, Saakashvili's pride and joy is his American sponsored military. I have never observed Saaksahvili beam with pride like he does when waving to the troops as they parade past him on Rustaveli st. Misha was so excited about his American armed and trained military that he even sent his troops to attack defenseless Ossetia back in 2008, and had them wiped out in five days by Russia.
