i love rt! on the left channel you can hear the russian original and on the right channel the english translation, that is great. Go Russia

The situation in Georgia is very similar to that after many other Soviet States became ex-soviet. The new regimes deny the significance and meaning of "Soviet" and declare a "new" democracy modeled on that of the one dominant in the USA. It is the path to follow in the modern World in the 21st century they proclaim. Lest we forget - the term :Soviet" translates into "Workers' Council/Committee". Invoke Capitalist democracy and the role of Workers in the running of the State is gone. In Georgia there exists a dictatorship of one person - the president to whom all are bound to owe allegiance. Where is the Dictatorship of the Proletariat" now in Georgia and other "independent" States around the Globe? In 1970 - at the time of the Lenin Centenary - "Perestroika was given free-rein by the administration in the USA via the State Dept. the Pentagon and the CIA. Today's hero Mr. Clinton loosened those reins even further to the point of supplying arms to dissidents that were openly and/or covertly anti-Soviet. Some hero? Then a major ideological "Step Backwards" was invoked in Russia of all places to "try Western democracy"!! The regrets today stem directly from that maneuver. Its time for "Two Steps Forward" after that flawed "One Step Back". How to Begin. Look to "What's To Be Done?" There you will discover anew "Where To Begin?". ///snowyone.
