This is all normal stuff, nothing to get hysterical about. Indeed you will see more and more of it, as we develop and modernize our armed services. There won't just be us either, get used to China and India appearing, this is a multipolar world now, a new era. You will see many players in a stable defensive world framework. The US needs to get used to it, because it's the way it is going to be. The US military know this is the way it is going, that's why they aren't histerical. The US has hyper stable strategic control in people like Gates just as we are hyper stable, and India and China are too. The world military table is larger now and will become larger and larger. Its just the way it is going to be.

Normal procedures, yeah right. Fox news would eat that up, I'm not saying they don't come close to the US but i would say its not that often.

Next time the Russian subs come near US waters, they should stop in for a day or two and pick up a few souvenirs for the kids back home. Times are tough here and we could use the tourism money. If I thought there was a chance to see a Russian sub cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge, you can safely bet I would be there with a camera! There were a few news articles about the subs (and the bombers last year) but they got a big yawn from the readers so the story went away. The story still lives on the internet, among those who expect a Russian invasion of USA tomorrow, or next week at the latest. I do not know what Biden thinks of the story, and I am afraid to ask. Sarah Palin has already given her opinion. If you guys DO come for a visit, bring lots of money! 8^D
