So this is how commerce in Iraq will be managed in the future- groups of armed men rolling into town in order to conduct 'business'. There is currently a massive private army from the US controlling large sections of Iraq, British mercenaries up to who knows what, Iranian 'advisors' doing much the same on the Iraqi side, French and Israeli security personnel who knows where, and now we are looking at Russian 'contractors' moving in on the action. Whos next - the Chinese perhaps? Add into the mix the various armed militias, separatists groups (including the Kurds who have for all intentents and purposes already 'taken' northern Iraq), and don't forget the 'regular' Iraqi army and security services and you have a heady brew indeed. If you also consider the current active operations by the 'real' US military.........well all I can see is, at best, the decent of Iraq into some sort of modern day 'wild west' where the 'cowboys' carry M16's and ride Hummers, and the 'indians' carry AK47's and ride Toyotas, and at worst the country will resemble some version of a 'mad max' film where only the strongest (most well armed) people will survive..................what a mess!!

The Russian people may want to see what they can do with Iraq. They failed miserably in Afghanistan, but that was a long time ago and hampered by the communist government of the Soviet Union being incompetent and out of touch with reality. Russia's special operations could help clean up the mess in Iraq and end the conflict there. Russia has massive resources that could be used to rebuild Iraq and increase the standard of living for all the Iranian people. Some of the poor people probably earn less than thirty thousand Euros a year. How could anyone survive on such low standard of living? The average Russian citizen probably earns twice that amount and would not mind helping augment the well being of poor people in Iraq.
