On August 31 unidentified attackers have thrown two petrol bombs at the Russian embassy in Minsk, Belarus. No one was hurt, but one car was destroyed by fire.
svetlana, what are you saying by?
asd, What part of my comment are you questioning exactly?
In my opinion the Svetlana's view is very clear. I share her point in 100%.

Credit to President Lukashenka for his modesty by playing down the deterioration in Belarus-Russia relations as "personal conflicts". This latest incident, although sad and unacceptable, may be an indication of growing dissatisfaction with Russian involvement in the forthcoming elections. It would be naive to contemplate the 'goodness' of a pro-Russian candidate, the best way for Russia is to settle on the possibility that there wouldn't be an anti-Russian one. What usually doesn't work in a democratic world is that any kind of "imported" proteges pushed or installed without real domestic connections. The more Russia is voicing its support for a pro-Russian candidate, the more detached and 'foreign' he may be seen by Belarusians. Neutrality is the key to the prevention of further damage at present.
